About Us

Situated on the outskirts of the village of Kinnerley is this beautiful, rural site, home to four exceptional lodges, boasting picturesque surroundings of the Shropshire countryside.

 

Together, the four timber-built lodges can sleep up to 10 people and are perfect for hosting large groups of differing party types. Whether it is a romantic getaway you are seeking, a break with friends, or quality time in the outdoors with your family, you can be sure to enjoy a stay here.

 

Choose between Acksea Lodge, Robin Lodge and Wren Lodge each sleeping two people, or there is Moorhen Lodge, which can sleep up to four people. Enjoy roaming the grounds and strolling around the beautiful lake on-site, you can stop and feed the ducks and admire the natural wildlife all around.

 

The village of Kinnerley offers a pub serving food, a shop and a Post Office, whilst the nearby village of Nesscliffe has a 15th-century pub and is home to the popular Nesscliffe Country Park. The exceptional lodges are within easy reach of a number of picturesque walking and cycling routes, including National Cycle Route 81, which runs between Aberystwyth and Wolverhampton, as well as the Shropshire Hills AONB, with Long Mynd, Stiperstones and Caradoc to explore.

 

The market town of Shrewsbury is within a short drive, while Oswestry is just over eight miles away, with a historic heritage railway, a selection of museums and an exhibition center.

 

Other nearby attractions of note include Holly Banks nature reserve, Stokesay Castle, Acton Scott Historic Working Farm and Wroxeter Roman ruins, while just over the Shropshire/Wales border, the rural delights of Mid Wales await.
